Online Discount Coupons Store
For most people, coupons are an occasional thing. They
might see one for a free candy bar, or they might clip a few here and
there to take to the store. Those are what you might call your normal —
er, average— couponers.
But every bell curve has its far end, and there you have people like my
wife. People for whom coupon-clipping is a carefully planned,
well-orchestrated enterprise. Karen will save between 35 and 45% on most
shopping trips, and I'm talking about big loads: $250 "stock-up" runs
that cost us only $130.
She, along with thousands of other dedicated clippers, is able to do
this thanks in large part to the Internet, as well as good timing and a
lot of work involving scissors.
As your coupon collection grows, you will need to organize
them for ease of use. You can file them in a shoe box or index box, or
use coupon holders available at most discount stores. Next, you will
need to organize your coupons into different categories such as: health
and beauty aids, condiments, breakfast foods, beverages, baking needs,
snacks and soups, fast food, frozen food, dairy, cleaning needs, and
paper goods.
As you organize your coupons, pay attention to the expiration dates. One
handy tip is to pull out all expired offers when you put the new batch
in. After you have your coupons collected and organized, you can use
some handy shopping tips to save even more money.
COUPONS ARE EVERYWHERE!
It's usually easy to find coupons. Many can be found just by looking in
the newspaper. Besides Sunday inserts, try finding coupons at the
following:
Local Coupons
Trade coupons with friends and neighbors.
Call manufacturers' toll-free customer service numbers to request
coupons. They are usually happy to comply. Find their toll-free numbers
on product packaging or call 1-800-555-1212.
Buy the local Sunday newspaper when traveling. If you're traveling mid
week, find the local newspaper office to buy a Sunday paper. (Ask for a
paper with all the ads and inserts.)
Coupons on the Internet
There are numerous places to find coupons on the Internet. Many of them
are free, but some sites do charge a fee to send you groups of coupons.
